The last straw for my mom was when Sharon used the bathroom in the office with the door open while still talking to my mom. At the time my mom was desperate for a job but quit because this woman was just too crazy. Our opinion is she has to know something. Also, my mom said Sharon is definitely narcissistic too. She "complained" about how expensive the prestigious college her youngest daughter was going to. She also said there were newspaper/magazine clippings framed in the office of her time as an attorney in Los Angeles and she is trying to see if she can find them online. She also tried to trash talk about other attorneys my mom knew and called them stupid. My mom isn't sure what the point of that was. Did she want her to agree? Maybe she is just bat * crazy? Legal separation is not legal divorce.

I do not understand your response-I am simply saying early reports were they separated in the 1990's. A separation 9 months ago means what..they physically resided together most of the time till 9 months ago..or they were apart since the 1990's but formalized a separation somehow 9 months ago?

As the speaker in this video was herself a family law attorney I would hope for greater  precision in her statement on that issue.

Only the very first news reports said they were divorced.

Not enough is known and so I don't disagree with your synopsis.
It seems, however, that reports she was abusive are more widespread than just one poster.

It is easy to do for armchair slueths to character assasinate at a safe distance as they don't have to live with the result.

For reference to my point, let me refer you all to this link. In the spirit of research, hopfully,  and not blame gaming.

Who is Sharon?

If any one finds positive reports they should post them as well to get a full picture.

Bloit, in an otherwise fine post, said "Somehow two angry people found each other and made it work." I almost laughed out loud. Not sure what that means. I doubt the three daughters felt the relationship "worked" to raise them in a healthy atmosphere. And their toxic relationship sure didn't work to help JJD lead a productive life. A lot of interesting thoughts and insight in this thread. I am not making excuses for anyone, but Mrs. JJD did marry him at age 20. That's pretty young, considering he was 27 and clearly already on a path to evil by that time. It's possible she was groomed by him and went along with the program. This frequently happens when people get involved with sociopaths.

I guess we won't really know for a while what was going on, but I do find it telling that no one is talking about this couple very much. Makes one think they didn't have many friends at all.

The situation with Aaron Hernandez and his fiancee comes to mind- she perjured herself, lied about the murder weapon and even threw her own sister under the bus.

Holes talks too much. he needs to be more professional.  Her knowing the divorce process is irrelevant.  Why would it matter that she is lawyer? I have known numerous couples that have gotten seperated but did not get divorced. one reason is medical benefits and unless they move on to another serious relationship it does not matter.  There is a better chance that being a lawyer would have shown her that it might be a better idea in the long run not to get divorced.

Agreed. They are cited examples.  I am looking at the totality of known behavior. 
 The explosiveness between the two mentioned by the neighbors coupled with the continued entanglement accompanied by distance.

When much more comes out, we will understand.

In truth, any person who married JJD would have had to have serious issues, among them the pervasive dysfunction of one or more personality disorders.

I'm more interested in why Holes is saying this publicly, and clearly implying that there's something else that isn't publicly known. To me, that seems deliberate. And if so, it probably indicates that she hasn't been very helpful to investigators. She's the one who was with him throughout the entirety of his crime spree from VR to the ONS stage. So if she isn't talking, they're going to start asking why and putting pressure on her.

I do have to think she knew something was up. The whole "busy law school student" angle doesn't work for me. But we'll see.

Well, from the looks of things, the daughters are pretty successful. The third one seems to have had some issues, though they seem minor and she's still in a graduate program. They're all highly educated, one is a doctor. That doesn't mean there wasn't dysfunction, but it is possible they were, in fact, happy growing up.

She's self-employed. I'm betting health insurance. It will be interesting to find out how much contact they've really had with each other since the children became adults.
