One of the items found in Cathy's car was a McDonalds's game card piece with the picture of Jeff Bostic of the Washington Red Skins laying face down on the dashboard.
It's been said that Cathy Thomas was known for keeping her car interior pristine and orderly. The autopsy of both woman had undigested meat in their stomachs - indicating that they had eaten hamburger or similar food prior to their deaths.
I've been trying to find information about their last steps before they disappeared. All that's known is that Cathy picked up Becky at the William & Mary's College on October 9th, where Becky logged on a computer at Morton Hall sometime after 6:30 PM to use the printer. Later, both women were seen near Becky's dorm, Chandler Hall. Sometime after that they drove off in Cathy's car. They were found murdered three days later on October 12th.
There were reports they were seen at a restaurant called Yorktown Club. However, it's never been verified.
If Cathy was in the habit of keeping the inside of her car pristine and there was a McDonalds game card in it but no McDonalds food bags, why was that card there? Was it Cathy's and Becky's? Could the undigested hamburger meat have come from McDonalds? If so, where was the McDonalds hamburger wrappers and the drink cups? Why would Cathy throw those out but not the card? Did Cathy or Becky collect football cards?
I am comparing this with the two other CPMs where the victims went to a movie theater earlier in the evening before they were killed. What if Cathy and Becky were stalked from McDonalds, if that's where they got the hamburgers found in their stomachs?
Cathy or Becky might of knew a Redskin's fan and were planning to give that card to them or had a friend with kids who loved American Football? I've heard Virginia has a lot of Redskin fans although they were quite a good team in the 80's.

MONDAY - OCTOBER 13
- COLUMBUS DAY -
The coroner reported that both women had undigested meat in their stomachs - an indication that they had eaten hamburger or similar food prior to their deaths. The coroner also confirmed that they had been dead for at least 24 hours BEFORE the examination. If the exam was done right away sometime in the evening of Sunday October 12, then that means they were already dead Saturday October 11 by at least 8PM.
Since the reports that the women had been seen at the Yorktown Pub are unconfirmed, we can't rely on the fact that they were ever there.
Since there was the same kind of undigested meat in both their stomachs, similar to hamburger meat, and there was a McDonalds football player's card found in the car, I am wondering if they may have grabbed a bite to eat at McDonalds. A small blue carton with unknown contents and no further description was found in the car. It's possible it was a happy meal carton. LE knows the answer. Does anyone else know about the blue carton?
If it was a McDonalds box, it would have had to come from the night they ate out. If it were from an earlier time, Cathy would have thrown it out. She wouldn't have just left it in her car. That is, if it was even a McDonalds carton..
Cathy & Becky's last night was yesterday, Oct 9th 1986. They wouldn't be found for another 2-1/2 days.
The relentless pursuit Bill has led the families in getting justice has been unwaivering. Here's to the Thomas & Dowaski families and friends; to Cathy & Becky. I pray that justice is served those responsible for this horrific crime. So very sorry for your loss of two vibrant ladies who had so much to offer. Today I sat thinking what a loss, that they were never given a chance to see their dreams come true.
