I have always had to jump through a lot of hoops in my career - consistently, like on a daily basis - but today, I just assessed how much technology my students and I are using, and the responsibilities that go along with it. Well, let's just suffice it to say, I am a bit overwhelmed.
Chromebooks, Laptops, Tablets, iPads, and Desktop Computers - I am required to not only use each of them, but to teach my students the most efficient way to use all of their devices, and still teach subject matter. Oh, and I must not forget - I must teach them how to make exciting, noteworthy videos! Hooray!
Don't get me wrong - I love technology; however, when am I able to teach, when all we do is focus on technology? I should be a technology educator, because that is all I seem to do!
Teaching is a 24/7 career - is is definitely not for the faint-hearted. I have a multitude of other job responsibilities that go far beyond the normal work day - so why add an abundance of technology to the enormous mix of duties we are already required to do?
Are there any other posters who feel like technology has begun to override everything else?
You do not need to be an educator to experience this...
sammyt: Like JJD, a decade long offender. Organised, commuter rapist with possible linked murders. Long gaps in the series. DNA profile but no match on the system. Possible early Snelling style murder. Likely an older offender with no major/recent criminal record

sammyt: Like JJD, forensically aware. Attacked more than once some nights. Returned to attack areas years later. Possible car and auto wreckers links. Physical offender who gave himself a chance to escape on foot. Avoided local heat but knew the attack areas well

sammyt: Today marks thirty years since the first confirmed Batman attack took place on May 21st 1991.

dannymac: Sammy gotta keep plugging away your guy could be round the next corner

sammyt: Thanks! Shelley Morgan was an American mother of two, who was murdered in the UK in 1984. Like the later Batman victims, just a few miles away, she was stripped then made to put on tights.

sammyt: A big shout out from me to Bill Thomas, cleo, and all those tracking the CPK. Respect and keep plugging away too!

elir: And to Jay7777 for his efforts on the murder of Maggie Long

f1guyus: Interesting. The arrest of the accused molester was made by a non Stockton agency using a Ramey warrant. The local DA was kept out of the loop.

sammyt: I hope the view that only Californian victims count is a minority one. The Batman is the third most prolific uncaught serial rapist in the world.
May 26, 2021 10:07:15 GMT
sammyt: The two most prolific uncaught rapists are the Teardrop Rapist and the Early Morning Rapist - both from California. Who is trying to get justice for those 'close to home' victims?
May 26, 2021 10:10:20 GMT
elir: Some people think the EMR was JJD.
May 27, 2021 3:31:01 GMT
sammyt: Walter Hamilton was an EMR suspect. Funny how JJD seemed to be trying to frame Hamilton at the start of the EAR series.

elir: they have DNA for the Teardrop rapist, surprised that LE havent been able to track him down
May 28, 2021 2:26:22 GMT
sammyt: Yeah I'm surprised too that the Teardrop Rapist has evaded justice. He had at least 35 victims and he needs to be caught. An innocent guy also spent 16 years in jail for 3 or the Teardrop attacks.
May 28, 2021 16:44:49 GMT
sammyt: Fortunately it seems like the Teardrop was scared off when the police started canvassing Hispanic areas in 2012. Either that or it's the usual possibilities of him having died, or him being in prison for something else (with his DNA sitting in a backlog)
May 28, 2021 16:48:12 GMT
sammyt: As for the EMR, I think there's a good chance it was JJD. He hit the ground running as the EAR. Not many serial rapists are trying to frame others from the get go.
