Was VR weight loss ever on LE radar before JJD?

It was speculated many times that the VR may have lost weight before morphing into the leaner EAR.

Some thought it was because he had lost weight in basic military training, some thought he was very young as VR and had just lost his puppy fat, some thought he had got into shape during a short prison sentence, and some thought he had lost weight due to the stress of near capture and the need to alter his appearance after the Snelling murder.

Here are how the weights of some world champion boxers fluctuated during their professional careers:

Ricky Hatton - fought at 140lbs...weighed up to 180lbs when not in training.

Roberto Duran - fought at 135-160...weighed up to 200 when between fights.

Rocky Marciano - fought at 180-85...weighed up to 250 between fights.

John L. Sullivan - fought at 198-210...weighed up to 280 between fights.

Billy Joe Saunders - fights at 168...has weighed up to 210 between fights.

Holes was right about the EAR living in the Sac area and haviing a family.  Those were important profile details because Holes used them to narrow down descendants of the great, great, great, great grandparents of the 4th cousin of the DNA owner. 

Otherwise, Holes could have followed a different direction, heading toward the East coast, down south, over seas, etc.  Taking longer with the trace could have been crucial.  JJD could have found out about it and split. 

Holes was also right about the EAR being the ONS.  , and Thank goodness for that because it was Holes' who linked all the SoCal murders when he had DNA's from the murder scenes compared with what he had.

And Holes, unlike many others, believed the guy was still alive.  Without that gut feeling belief, he would not have kept on with the hunt.

Searching wiki for Save Mart, it looks like there are four labor unions, including Machinist Automotive Trades District. That was probably the confusion on JJD's job title.

Not sure if it’s what you’re already implying, but lufttec specifically posted once that he “loves anagrams” on a music-based post. He even linked an anagram finder tool. I “anagram searched” a few usernames I thought were suspicious but nothing really stood out.

Yesterday I was reading the posts by Ketchnrelease and trickofthetale (both suspected as being JJD) and he mentioned anagrams as well.

I found it interesting that KNR referenced doing an anagram search on the author of Hot Prowl--Jack Gray. Only, KNR spelled his name as Jack Grey. Of course I went over to the anagram generator. When I put the name in misspelled as he did, an anagram of Cagy Jerk came up. I suppose JJD was trying to let the author know what he thought of their anonymity. BTW, there aren't any anagrams for the proper spelling of the name.

What I thought KNR meant was that there was an anagram embedded in the cryptograms, I feel pretty certain about that.

As you saw in this thread Lufttec posted in August of 2018. Lufttec was not JJD. He had knowledge of JJD because he worked with him (in crimes). There is a reason that he stressed the EAR being 17 or 18 in June 1976....because Lufttec, himself turned 18 on the eve of the first EAR attack.

Dwayne if Lufttec worked in law enforcement with DeAngelo, and he himself was say 18 in 1976, then it follows he would have been no more than 20 or 21 years old when DeAngelo was fired for shoplifting, thus ending his career in law enforcement in 1979. So how could he being so young have associated with DeAngelo? Not saying you are wrong Dwayne just I need a little more clarification to N otherwise thought provoking post.

I see Lufttech's last activity as July 7, 2016, am I seeing that wrong?

I reckon DeAngelo liked associating with youngsters - people he could more easily influence and dominate.

He invited youngsters to his home to work on model airplanes during the EAR series, and apparently also took some out for ice creams.

From what Bonnie said, I wouldn't be surprised if the 28-30 year old JJD took some youngsters out hunting or shooting.
