Hey folks, long time no see. I'm a former mod here and long time resident of the case, though I've definitely needed some time to cool off and get back into my creative processes... and bills... and creative bills... hole in roof bills... two broken oven bills... death car bills...  -_-

It's been a hell of a year and I've decided I just feel more at home here, having been through so much with so many of you. Whether we get along or not, being together the way we have over what we've learned and still learn is fascinating and not something to just ignore. Another major thing is that I have FINALLY gotten a new computer so I can become more involved here, something that was quite the hindrance late last year and earlier in this one. I don't know about you guys but keeping up with this on a phone is just insane 

That said, I'll be hosting regular catch up YouTube lives from time to time. We can discuss the trial, other cases, movies, shoot the breeze... anything, I've just missed feeling like a part of something that was all about resolution. I know this isn't for everyone and I'm well aware some of ya just wanna punch the hair off my face, but that's totally fine and you'll be okay

Seriously though, I do hope everyone is well and inspired to see more cases solved and persons identified in the name of something we all seek except for those who run from it. That something is justice and it's an amazing thing to witness. There are so many of you I have connected with, bonded with and have become genuine friends with... this was the very first place I remember ever seeing people get along and while it's only online as amateur sleuths with different, even opposing lives of our very own... that unity is something that will forever inspire hope in my heart.

I'm probably not going to jump too high into the trial, what's done is done but tracing back JJD is always a plus. Not too mention the story his life tells is something we are all entitled too as followers of this case.

Personally I think he'll reach trial but it won't be as high and mighty as we suspect, I personally see a plea deal and options for him to remain silent but he'll still have to answer in some regards. His wife's swift call for divorce, his law team's current tactics and the Bonnie revelations tell me this. When and if that ever happens, I want to continue this trend of being able to say who was right, who was wrong, what was right, what we were wrong about, etc... so far, that's been the most enlightening and humbling parts of it all.

As far as my deduction went, hell, I was only right about one/one-half of one particular part. My theory had been that EAR was in LE academy and had been dismissed for whatever reason, which some others in LE or with LE knowledge frequently commented on. One part I got wrong was that I believed he had left in the middle of the EAR-end of the saga, whereas he was released and upon his firing, the EAR crimes ceased. Another major part I got wrong in regards to the theory was that he was law enforcement the entire time all together, not too mention I did not think he was VR. Hell, Q man and me discussed that the very day he was arrested over the phone and I'll be damned... I couldn't have been more pleased with the result.

Still, there are things I contemplate on... when did he start to lose his hair? Like with the VR crimes, did he use items stolen from previous EAR crimes? What did he do in the eighties? What did he LOOK like in the eighties? Did he offend past Janelle Cruz? Did he destroy or remove evidence concurrent with the crime(weapons, burglary tools)? Was he actually the Cordova Cat Burglar? So much to speculate, but never enough time to learn until there is... that's what this case teaches me. That and humility. I've made a lot of amazing friends and I can't be more proud of what I've seen and learned.

Hi Wesley. Glad to hear things are going well. I was fairly new to this site when the news of the arrest came. I signed on and saw you were doing video chats, so I sat in on a few of them. It was my first time seeing how intensely this case affected people who had followed it closely for a long time.

You were generous and open about speaking of how you felt about the arrest, and about your sympathy and empathy for the victims.

I've been at peace since the arrest.
I'm really hoping that January 2020 hearing produces some progress toward
preliminary hearing.

I agree with you, Wes.... about the camaraderie on this board. It's pretty awesome!
