Jason Jolkowski

This is a strange missing persons case I’ve recently started researching. Honestly, I think it would make a great case for Paul Holes and his various productions because I think from a criminal profiling standpoint a lot of strong inferences can be made.

Anyway, I have a couple of theories but wanted to present this here and see what you guys come up with.

It should also be noted that another 19 year old male named Samuel Sherman disappeared from this same neighborhood a month after Jason. He lived about a half mile away, and on the same street as the high school that Jason was walking to, but in the opposite direction.

To date no connection between the two has been established other than the age, time frame, and geographical similarities.

I'd be looking at the person that had offered Jason the new job that he was excited about and who had interviewed Samuel.

Sherman had a job interview in the downtown Omaha area on 7/19/01 that he went to. He never returned to the house he had been staying at, which was in the 3600 block of Bedford Avenue in Omaha.

Jolkowski was supposed to start a new job a week after he vanished, and was excited about it.

These cases sound like a John Wayne Gacy copy cat.

I also fall in line with your Gacy assessment. It has that vibe for sure, but at least in Jason’s case he had a cell phone so LE should have been able to find out who he was talking to and explored that avenue of investigation. However, if his case is related to the Sherman case then somewhere along the way they both had to be associating with the same person or persons.

On the day he disappeared Jason was seen by the neighbor moving the trash cans with his work shirt in hand, so clearly his intent was to go to work. The walk to the high school had a few different routes, but I imagine he would be taking one of the more direct routes because he had someone waiting on him.

The time of day seems inopportune to commit an abduction of someone of Jason’s size and stature, unless the perpetrator knew of his speech issues and considered him to be mildly retarded. The person would to have had some knowledge of him to make that determination, which makes it less likely to me that this would be a random “get in the car” daytime abduction. He wouldn’t look like the perfect victim IMO.

Some mention has been made as to why Jason didn’t just have the coworker pick him up at his house, and it’s largely been written off as the high school being easier to find, but Jason’s house really wouldn’t have been that difficult to get to. Did Jason want to make a stop on the way to the high school? It’s been mentioned that he had around $60 in cash on him, and I’m wondering how that was determined. It shows up in several articles to the point that I find that figure significant.

Branson Perry disappeared from Skidmore, Mo. in broad daylight 3 months before Jason. Skidmore is about two hours from Omaha.

He was roughly the same age as both Jason and Samuel and had been hanging out at home with a female friend when he went outside to return a pair of jumper cables to a shed adjacent to the house. He was never seen again.

So now there’s three young men all around the same age who have disappeared in broad daylight within four months of each other, and in both Jason and Branson’s cases foul play is suspected.

There is virtually nothing known about Samuel Sherman. All that seemingly is available is his age, general description, and the location he disappeared from. There are no photos available online, and some people have speculated as to whether he actually existed to begin with.

A Reddit user is claiming he has found Samuel Sherman. Sounds legit.

I think I’ve come up with a few good avenues to pursue in this case. It’s been extremely challenging because there are few clues to go on - but I do enjoy a good challenge.
