I recently posted in the cafe the nodan information because the content of the manuscript reminded me of the GSK investigation. I don't know how to explain it, except that I had a feeling of Deja vu when I read it.
In my research on the nodan karate video, I started looking at Synanon, once again.
[Now, I know that looking into violent cults is scary, but if we look away everytime a cult does something, we are only adding to the problem.]
The first time I looked into this group, we were all still under the impression that we were chasing a ghost, and LE would never catch ONS/GSK alive. You can look back at the research that Albion and I did, and you will see that the military records that I posted on JJD and his father confirm many of the avenues of research we did were sound. We know that DeAngelo lived in both the Sacramento area and southern California. This group operated out of Santa Monica and Tomales Bay, CA. There have been reports on this board of gun toting, hippie communes in Santa Barbara and speculation about what DeAngelo was doing in Goleta. Anyone know? I have not heard, so please do tell me if you know (I'm not being sarcastic).
When I read about Synanon, here is what I see in my mind as a connection to DeAngelo.
- Violent groups of thugs. ie Dr. O
- Groups of people canvasing services (printed marketing materials), ie. reports around the time of the SB attacks
- Violence against women. Forced divorce and remarried, forced abortions of members.
- Interaction/business with law enforcement and military
- They moved into a paint factory, ie paint chips
- They produced nice, custom brass belt buckles, which can be found on Ebay right now
- They customized merchandise, ie Applo Airlines card
- They owned an airstrip and many planes (which deserves some investigation as to the connection with Maverick)
- They trained in military tactics and martial arts
- They were drug free
Side Note: (Women of Synanon, many of these things being reported are criminal!!!!!! Do not be afraid to go to your local police and report them. At the very least, if you were divorced and remarried against your will, its kidnapping and rape and if you were forced into an abortion against your will, its murder, which has no statue of limitation!)

If they tried to take their children, he called it kidnapping and sent goon squads after them. They smashed a guy’s skull in Berkeley and put him in the hospital with meningitis."

Wow…so many memories. My sister ended up with L when C decided to play match maker. I was at the “Ranch” in the Boot Camp. Traumatic to say the least.
