I did a Google Maps search for Visalia, then search nearby for "seventh day." There are a number in surrounding cities. I haven't been able to find church history for other 7DA churches.

I believe this information is in error.

I have found several references to the location being used for church functions prior to 1976.  There are several explanations, first a church records when they move their weekly ceremony form one church to another not when the church is built enough to hold functions, second its possible the classification of church changed in 1976 somehow and that triggered a name change from bilingual to normal or spanish to general etc.  Pay special attention to the 1973 link this appears to be seeking new members perhaps for the new church.  Perhaps the church was not owned by the Seventh day adventist church until 1976 and thus not official.  This has occurred in other instances where a church member wants the church to buy a property that is only on the market for a short time at a great price so the member buys it and then sells it to the church.  The church moves slowly and this could easily have taken several years.  Or the fact that the listing does't site a pastor instead an elder may indicate it was not yet an official church which could also have taken several years and is also not uncommon.

Here the church seems to be getting the status of "company" which I take as less than a church but something of official standing.

There was another religious group very similar to SDA (7th Day Adventist groups) in California during the EAR/ONS era, The Worldwide Church of God (WWCG). Many of WWCG beliefs/doctrines stemmed from the Church of God Seventh Day (another similar 7th day church). The WWCG leaders name was Herbert W. Armstrong. The WWCG had groups in Sacramento and Modesto that I know of and had churches throughout California. The church did not own churches in cities, but rented buildings on Saturday to meet. They did have an elaborate college in Pasadena; and church groups that gathered eventually all over the U.S. and other countries. I was very young when I lived in Fair Oaks, CA in the 60's/early 70's and was born into this religion (my opinion is the WWCG was a cult which you can Google; including lots of incest). I haven't read all the posts on this forum but the one thing I have to comment on with the WWCG was their non-belief in doctors. I was even born at home, as was my sibling because the church was so against doctors. The church taught God would heal. My sister was in a terrible accident and both my parents refused the hospitals/doctors medical attention; which the hospital ignored. Sadly she still passed away. If the EAR/ONS was in a similar church and his mother passed away due to RECEIVING medical attention and she died, perhaps that could be a connection to medical/victims --blaming them for her death as he was brainwashed into believing God would heal and the dr's killed her? His hatred may have intensified as time passed. On education, the WWCG supported church members going to their college in Pasadena called Ambassador College, but did not encourage going to other colleges since evolution was taught;(and of course it took away money from members attending the church college). The headquarters to the church was in Pasadena; not sure if still there or not but they may have church member rosters to see if a family moved from Sacramento to Santa Barbara, etc. WWCG also had annually the Feast of Tabernacles in the Fall for two weeks; Lake Tahoe/Squaw Valley was where most Californians gathered but people from other states went too; in the 70's it was at Squaw Valley at the Blyth Arena where the Olympics were once held. It was packed w/people. There were other "Feasts" held in other cities throughout the U.S. too. I wonder if any similar cold cases in Lake Tahoe in the Fall (Sept/Oct) back then. Before my family moved out of state, our home was broke into in Fair Oaks; nice subdivision; would have been 70 or 71 or so; nothing stolen, just drawers all pulled out and baby powder thrown all over in my parent's room. My dad did work for water quality in Sacramento. Reading Hunting A Psychopath brought that memory back.

I Was also raised an SDA in Fremont ca when the zodiac raged,seemed there were killers everywhere in the bay area back then,the sda cult has a very real connection,as do my parents and others from the church.My story and the obvious connections will come out as i write.

As for the map,check in the fremont and surrounding areas,zodiac and EAR were not singular killers,they knew one another and operated in the same cult.Lake elizabeth changed alot,earlier were known as the quarry lakes.At one time there were culdisacs that were never finished around there,a mall was close by,and a kaiser hospital.

I guess I'm still not convinced EAR was the poet and even then the author could have mimicked the writing style without having been a member of this church. If EAR did write the poem then I believe he would mislead LE and the public from arriving at his front door and push the reader of the poem in yet another wrong direction with his false leads. He was not the brightest guy in the world but I don't think he was what I consider a stupid criminal clearly he is smart enough and received enough breaks of good luck to remind free thus far. I just do not see him helping LE or drawing attention to his church or beliefs if he was the author.

Funny thing,the zodiac killer.com forum I supplied info to has since shut down and has been archived,they redirect but are still shut down due to maintenance,go figure,the info I put there stunned and shocked everyone.I've been openly threatened on facebook by the SDA to shut my mouth or face the consequences.The feds and LE cruise these forums constantly for possible clues.

Let's start at a much earlier time,1963 to be exact.Two young people killed on a beach between port hueneme and santa maria ca. Clifton was a seabee at the time,stationed at port hueneme,he dated a young girl in santa maria at the time before he left for Nam. Now there was a couple that had been questioned in the zodiac case,funny but I can't find any info on them anymore,or pics,but I remember them being carbon copies of cliff and shirley... This crime happened and there was quiet for 2-3 years while cliff was abroad and shirley lived with his father.

Cliffs mother was a domineering woman that led him around like a dog,she was a devout and feared SDA woman.His mother hated shirley and he hated himself for being dirty in her eyes.When he was nervous or sick he masturbated constantly.

Clifton's life started in oklahoma,he was moved by his mother due to unrest at the school he was attending,he was violent and couldnt keep his hands off girls or boys.They became very nomadic because of this,as were the whole family after that,as were most SDA.

The ciphers and codes that were used in the zodiacs insanity were a combination of ranch brands,satanic signs,and indian heritage.Cliff was a 1/4 cherokee,and his family in ca were mostly berry and cattle farmer/ranchers.Something only he could understand.

In the late 50's cliff and a cousin were questioned in a burned car /wreck murder and released.His cousin later doing almost 30 years or more in prison for something.

Now rumour has it that clifton met shirley at a much earlier time,her being born in davenport ok and him in tahlequah,some say they were family as there were dealings between the two.

Cliffs mother and father seperated and eventually divorced because of shirley who was madly in love with his father,some say that their first born son is actually his fathers,we will get to cliftons hatred of that son later.Cliftons father later succumbs to parkinsons disease due to a blow to the head,again rumours fly.

Shirley moves to san jose in an apartment with a roomate,her roomate is a practicing satanic medium,teaches shirley alot while she waits pregnant for clifton to come home,she writes letters to cliff hoping and praying for nothing but blonde hair blue eyed children,won't except anything less.Guess what? The first born is platinum blonde and has wonderous blue eyes! clifton has black hair and brown eyes like his mother,cliffs father is fair haired with blue eyes,shirley is blonde with green eyes.

Clifton was raised SDA,shirley was catholic. She will conform though because in her eyes its her only chance away from the hell she has lived,and at the demands of cliffs mother. Cliff comes back from nam and goes to work as a forestry firefighter in the El Diablo mt. range,he is stationed at Mt. Hamilton,he is gone alot.

He lands a job at the fremont GM plant which he has been waiting for while firefighting,upon landing the job the two decide to move to fremont(duh!) But he still retains his firefighting job on weekends.

Now lets discuss these two so you get an idea of the dynamics working here,shirley is a drop dead gorgeous tall beautiful woman,looks like she just walked out of a 60's copy of a model magazine(remember the two that were questioned) while he was a not bad looking guy,had a big crazy funny smile,close cropped hair and black rim glasses.

He was very bipolar,very nasty temper and there was no middle ground,form 0-60 without warning,shirleys rage was quiet and controlled,she often told people that she had ways of getting things done and you had better be careful around her.

Clifton works nights at GM,off at 2 am. They have bought a house in fremont,she works as a switchboard operator in san fran.The baby is babysitted alot.

They become very active in the fremont sda church in 68'. Their car is a silver corvair. Do your research here,switchboard operator,taxi driver stine,sda girl,same apartments.

Now lets discuss the the first born,he is born june of 66' and they have another son in 68' but he is a disappointment to shirley,he comes out with dark hair like his father and for some reason suffers from club foot and a speech impediment(believe me this will all work into the supposed EAR thing) Mark remembers from the age 6,some at 5 of his fathers psychotic rage,his sexual desire for boys,mark has been poisoned from the age of 2 to 5 a total of 5 times involving gasoline,ammonia,digitalis,cigarettes,and valium(lots of stomach pumping).All of this while attending SDA church part time.
