My only thing is Sac Sheriff's North patrol assigned detectives ran the lead down back then and it dead-ended and or ran its course. That would have been a better time to ask the public for help than at this time it was a poor decision on the higher-ups at that time it is not a reflection on the line officers the North Patrol detectives in particular it was outside of their control because it was an EAR task force decision commander who made that decision. I truly hope there is movement on this lead but as time goes by we will discover a little more info and I suppose that will help.
I just want posters to know that lead was investigating thoroughly when it was reported I have that on good trusted authority and I believe it. The lead was run to its conclusion and it was done properly I can imagine some guys who worked it back then are thinking they are being questioned as to what else they could have done and released it was an option that was shot down by the Administration and EAR task force commander. The investigators did their job admin dropped the ball and waited for way too long to release it.
The eyeglasses at the burglary scene is a separate investigation. There was specific M.O. about that which has caused some investigators to think it's 'possible' that EAR was that burglar. There will be something very specific released in regards to that burglar which is the thing that I think will generate some major interest.
