If one takes a close look at the attacks near Cordova Gardens Elementary it is easy to see why Shelby and other detectives believe he was from Rancho Cordova. The victims in this cluster were younger than other clusters and were closer to each other than in other clusters. In the other clusters the ages ranged from teen to middle aged. It was clear that he knew this neighborhood the best. He always knew where to find the young pretty girls in the Cordova Gardens Neighborhood. In the last attack there he showed up in a long sleeve jacket with a homemade mask with slits for the eyes instead of a ski mask. Was he afraid that she might identify him from his eyes?
It is also worth noting that the dog beating incident in 1974 happened in this neighborhood near the corner of Dolecetto and Dawes. This predates the VR series and seems to indicate an offender who was in Rancho and who then moved to Visalia for two years before returning to Rancho.
We now know that the GSK probably had a male sixth grade elementary school teacher that cancelled trips and made him write sentances. We also now know that Mr. S*** taught sixth grade in the earyl sixties at Cordova Gardens Elementary. He has since passed away. We have also learned that he would in fact use the carrot of a field trip to get his class to behave. He would employ peer pressure to get the kids to fall in line. If one of the kids acted out then they would ruin it for the whole class and he would cancel the trip.
From an interview with someone close to Mr. S.:
"He had the attitude of "one for all and all for one" the class was more or a team sort of class. Either they all went on a class trip or hike or whatever or none of them did."
This is in line with the GSK's gripes about his teacher unfairly cancelling trips and is certainly an unusual teaching technique. Most teachers would simply tell the student who misbehaved that they could not go on the trip. Mr. S. would cancel the whole trip.
It would seem plausible that the GSK may very well of been one of Mr. S's students. There would only be around 100 male students that he would of taught in the early 1960's. If someone were to check these names against the contractors license board I think that they would have no more than 10 names. These names could then be checked against the physical and behavioral traits of the GSK.
