They Never Wrote Down The Kids Name In Any Report. Me/Whitmyer & Shelby Talked About This. That Kid Was My POI. So. All The Way Down The Line LE Screwed Up Big Time. How Are You Going To Listen To Anyone Who Has Not Been Able To Catch Him In Over 30 Years.

I Think He Sold His House In Sacto In 2013 And Left The Area. Because Of Russ Whitmyer/Det.Shelby & Myself. And No. He Refused To Give DNA At His Home In Rancho Cordova To Det.Shelby In 2011. He Has Never Been Arrested. So His DNA Is Not In Any System. He Was In The Military For A Few Years In The 80s. But He Had Leaves Of Absents So He Could Have Easily Killed While Enlisted. And I Think The Killings Were In 1981-1986 And He Could Have Been Enlisted During The Absents Of Killing Times. But The Military Will Not Give Up His DNA. And He Was In The Hospital Once But The Hospital Will Not Give Up His DNA Records.

You would think this guy doesn't leave his trash on the street,or have any family members who would give up their dna?

You sound very serious and credible,but if they really thought this was the guy they would be watching him 24/7 and waiting for him to toss a soda or something..I'm really trying to be logical about your claim here.

Maybe it's not as specific as a EAR-A or EAR-B. But surely it's plausible that not all the rapes were committed by ONS.

It's possible that maybe two or three, at the most, were not his. I'll give LE the benefit of the doubt on this one even without having access to the police reports. Admitting that the same offender committed 50 rapes, and that they couldn't catch him, certainly doesn't make them look good. If anything, they were probably hoping some of them were done by a copycat so that all the rapes looked more explainable instead of being the work of one man that kept evading capture.

As a matter of idle curiosity I went to jj's site and found these numbers

Total number of rapes in Sacramento County.
1976: 357
1977: 430
1978: 428

Number of EAR rapes in Sacramento County:
1976: 9
1977: 16
1978: 3

Because of who his victims were and the neighborhoods he offended in EAR probably got more publicity than all the other Sacramento rapists combined.

To answer your question, yes, I think LE did consider the theory that two people were involved in the EAR attacks, and LE ultimately rejected that idea.  Other posters may wish to elaborate.

Here is what JJ says at his site:

In a nutshell, this theory posits that there were a minimum of two criminals who committed the EAR crimes. The first was the same person later linked by DNA with crimes in Contra Costa County and in Ventura and Orange county. I call him EAR-A. The second person was more rash and less deliberate and was the original EAR who emerged in Rancho Cordova in June 1976. I refer to him as EAR-B. Not all of the EAR-B crimes, however, may have been committed by EAR-B. Several of them are even more unique and may have been the work of others.

Which is why in my heart of hearts I think there was only one EAR. And I'll bet we still don't know everything about the attacks. There has to be at least one significant holdback just in case of "Confessin' Sam".

I just noticed while watching this clip on you tube that Oase is using one of EAR A/EAR B maps from jj's site at around 48 seconds or so. I don't really know the significance...it could just be convenience since it is on the net and Oase just printed it from there? Is jj working with retired LE on the case officially? Who is jj? Maybe it means the retired LE guys are all over the EAR A and EAR B theory? I'm relatively green to the case..... so any more senior members willing to enlighten me it would be fantastic.

Sacfisherking - I have been told that LE does not support the EAR A and EAR B theory.  I started the thread just to examine EAR's behavior a bit more.  JJ breaks down each attack by the known behavior.

For example, he says that the victim in the first attack was not expected to be there - and she was dragged.  I will have to look it up in ST, again.

According to his chart, in Attack #2, the victim(s) - two teenage sisters, were not expected to be there.

He links attacks like these to "EAR B" - the original EAR, who is less organized.  However, you could just examine the mental state of one EAR - based on his behavior at each attack.

Can anybody explain who JJ is?  I just know that he used to be on one of the old boards, and, then, he created his own site.  If you look at the dates on the site, though, it seems that he has not updated it in years.  I guess he must keep renewing the domain, though.
