"Dumb Fuc%#!s" Call

I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, but does anyone know the histrory of the call. Was it ever released to the public at the time? Did any victims comfirm his voice? The caller is obviosly tryng to disguise his voice with a threatening snarl. I think the voice has an eeirie resemblence to the "Is Ray There?" caller. Albeit, the "Is Ray There" caller isn't trying to disquise his voice, and his voice is kind of high-pitched as described by McGowen in the VR case, I believe. This may be out on a limb but could EAR have suffered from Hypogonadism? Symptoms include short penis, high-pitched voice, small testes--therefore a need to prove his manhood. Lepke should be very familiar with this condition. 

I don't think EAR had hypogonadism, as the symptoms of that are:
Decreased development of muscle mass
Lack of deepening of the voice
Impaired growth of body hair
Impaired growth of the penis and testicles
Excessive growth of the arms and legs in relation to the trunk of the body
Development of breast tissue (gynecomastia)

I don't think he had a problem with muscles, or body hair (people noted hair on his legs) or "excessive growth of arms and legs" (as a victim probably would state something like that, as it would be out of the norm).

I don't think he had any major issue like that, some people just have a higher pitched voice and others have a small penis.  Some have both - there are outliers in genetics (most are near the average, but some are at the opposite ends of the spectrum) - basically it's Human genetic variation.

I would tend to agree with this.  If this call was actually EAR...it would reiterate what I'm already thinking which was EAR was a younger person when he began the attacks, and he was emotionally very young (a lot of abused children tend to live in the emotional maturity of when their abuse took place, and I'm working under the assumption that EAR was abused as a child). Its quite possible that even if EAR became older in years, his emotional maturity was quite stagnate and was much younger than his physical age was.

I think you both are right.  When listening to the program about Thor Christensen, his hatred for women, stemmed from his being very overweight in high school, it seems.  He was a psycho though and was torturing animals from a young age.  So he couldn't blame himself for overeating and not exercising, no he had to blame women!  Oh a woman deserves to die because she didn't want to date him!  It is really bugging me how men can victimize women.  I think it should be classified as a hate crime.  The smaller weaker sex being abused by nut cases who get their sexuality mixed up with violence and take it out on women.  Disgusting.  (Where did that tirade come from,  I worked myself up.  LOL, just meant to say I agree with you )

One more thing. I watched my son who is now a 28 yo married gentleman with 2 boys and he and his wife are expecting number 3. Watched him, and never let him blame his problems perceived or otherwise on others. That is such a loser. Blaming others.....

This guy pronunciates his words clearly, loud and fast imo. I just wish Quester would finish writing those final chapters of the EARONS case entitled: Mystery of the silent dog // Phone Calls // Thwarted.

I don't think EAR's speech at all matches up with cluttered speech.  I think the his real speech pattern and voice is hidden/disguised when making those calls and when he was doing his attacks.

I for the first time recently hear a recording of Adolph Hitler's natural speaking voice and how different it is from the one recording during his rants at speeches. The two voices do not even seem to be the same person, the reason I bring this up is the recorded voice thought to be EAR could have been a manic or high point in his life and his natural or in an exciting moment in time. The voice speech and diction can be changed by a persons condition and not necessarily a direct attempt at deception. I am trying to say his natural speaking voice when not in a heightened state may be similar but it could also be unrecognizable to others during times of stress who may even know the person speaking.

You can tell he was having fun with this or so it seems to me he is. From listening to this call my intuition tells me the EAR is right smack dab in the middle of town or like across the street from the police department. I agree with him being a fast talker on the call, may be due to the stress or excitement of tormenting the Sheriff's Department or his natural vocalization. My understanding taken from an interview with a speech therapist, keep in mind this is a single interview with only one person and their opinion, is a person who has a stutter as a child is unlikely to be a fast talker as an adult. There is a condition that is known as cluttering that EAR may have had as a child or young adult (If you he had a speech problem at all), cluttering is a fluency disorder characterized by a rapid and/or irregular speaking rate, excessive disfluencies, and often other symptoms such as language or phonological errors and attention deficits. The treatment would be a technique that has been found helpful with younger clutterers is to use the analogy of a speedometer wherein rapid speech is above the "speed limit" and "speeding tickets" are given for exceeding the "limit." Often the clutterer must be taught to pause deliberately.  In addition to speaking quickly, clutterers crowd their sentences with fillers ( um, like), insert pauses where they don't belong and use abnormal intonation. A fast talker could have been treated for cluttering disorder and the fast talking is the result.

I could also be completely wrong and it could be just an excited speech pattern in an attempt to leave the message in a hurry and not have the call traced??? although the "is Ray there" call sounds like the same hast speech pattern to me but again I guess he may just be in a hurry to get off the phone. I do believe the two calls are the same person at any rate.

I thought I heard words running together in the EAR's voice recording much like those of my son who is affected with Autism caused by Fragile X syndrome. I'm no speech expert, so I'm sure you're right and I am probably mistaken. I am certainly no speech and language expert by any means
