Since I started thinking about the Sacramento incident where the 17 year old girl in the mall was allegedly an attempted robbery victim and the suspect was involved in a high speed chase etc. and that sketch of the suspect looked so much like other EAR/ONS/GSK sketches, I am thinking that was the EAR/ONS/GSK and thereby I am thinking thinking she was possibly an attempted kidnap victim but it hadn't yet progressed to that point to know that was the intent.  We know that EAR/ONS/GSK was not interested in robbery.  Now putting that together with the VR attempted kidnap of Beth Snelling and possibly Jennifer Armour and Donna Richmond I am posting some notes I have saved to my computer below:

Fact: Jennifer Armour was last seen talking to a man in a white car by Kmart.
Fact: Donna Richmond's mangled bicycle found on the side of the road had white paint marks. 14 samples of paint were taken off Oscar Clifton's pick up truck and none matched.
Fact: Oscar Clifton had two daughters that attended Mt. Whitney with Beth Snelling.
Fact: Beth Snelling's attempted abduction was blocks away from where Jennifer was last seen.
Fact: Oscar Clifton was right handed and the VR was left-handed so we know that it is unlikely he was involved with the Snelling murder.
Fact: The VR was known to frequent the area of where the bodies of Jennifer Armour and Donna Richmond were found. (canal, orange grove)
Question: Was the VR out in the Exeter area looking for Oscar's house when he spotted Donna?
Question: Did the police frame Oscar Clifton for murder because of his criminal background and close proximinty to the abduction?

Jennifer Armour was drowned and found in the Friant Canal blocks from where Donna Richmond’s body was found in an orange grove. Donna had been stabbed:

Oscar was convicted of the murder of Donna Richmond.

Truth&Soul said: Oscar Clifton said his receipt book was stolen from his car at Kmart. IIRC, Oscar and his wife went into K-Mart and left their 2 teenaged daughters in the car. Some man in a Camaro(?) was bothering them in the parking lot, so they went inside the K-Mart. When they got back to the car, the notebook was missing (maybe the car door was opened, implying that had been rummaged thru? I don't remember that detail).

From what I've read on the Clifton conviction, the evidence is what, in my totally non-professional opinion, seems entirely circumstantial, or even worse, shouldn't have had any weight. And I'm not trying to pin DR on VR necessarily

This was the same Kmart where Armour was last seen, which is also two blocks from the Snelling home.

However, the receipt book was found near Donna's bike, where she was abducted. Her clothes were found in an abandoned house which was in the same general area as a DITCH where some VR items were left. Her body was found in a grove some distance from that area.

Port - Thanks for the link. However, it does not exactly say that his blood and semen were compatible with that found on Donna's body:

"Clifton failed to show cause for his failure to present in his previous petition his claims that the state failed to present to the grand and petit juries laboratory analyses showing that blood found on the victim was Type "A" and that Clifton's blood type is "O," and that his trial counsel was ineffective because he failed to present this and other evidence to the jury. The record indicates that the state disclosed this evidence to the defense. The state had no obligation to present exculpatory evidence to the grand jury. See United States v. Isgro, 974 F.2d 1091, 1096 (9th Cir.1992), cert. denied, 113 S.Ct. 1581 (1993). The laboratory report does not indicate, as Clifton contends, that the murderer had type "A" blood and that the semen found on the victim's body could not have been Clifton's. Oscar was O positive. Donna was "A" The sample was indicative of type A" But the semen was mixed with her menstrual blood, and at the time the blood type wasn't conclusive, just indicative. Possibly the reason they could be conclusive is that the semen came from a non secretor.

Donna wasn't sodomized, and she was still a virgin. The semen was located on her pubic hairs. Portofleith, I read the autopsy. Where are you reading that she was sodomized?

I don't sympathize, but I do question the validity of his conviction. You speak of child molestation? Are you referring to Donna's murder? The attempted rape was ten years prior, when he was 25. He was 35 in 1975.

I would take issue with Conquistador's statement that it's a fact VR frequented the Armour/Richmond crime scenes. There's no evidence of that at all. In fact, everything he says up to that point jives with Clifton being responsible for both girls deaths.

Also, since nobody has came forward with any documents pertaining to the Richmond murder trial, the same documents every judge who has rejected all of Clifton's subsequent appeals has had at their disposal, then I'm going to have to assume all "facts" pertaining to Clifton's innocence are nothing more than third party hearsay.

It's a closed case so anyone who wants to argue in Clifton's favor should have no problem getting the trial transcripts and posting them here.

However I have seen her autopsy, and she was not sodomized, and she was definitely a type blood. That even came out in the trial.

I have a copy of her autopsy because Years ago, I sent it to a friend at the Oakland lab asking him if it could be determined whether the killer was left or right handed.
Since I don't have the brains or know how to understand our legal system and all of the paperwork involved in the many appeals, I see no need to continue the banter. However, with what I have seen and read, I believe that he did. Not kill Donna.

Portofleith, you mentioned molestation. Was that a charge with Donna, or are you aware of another case, besides the ten year prior attempted rape? If there were others, that might influence my thinking, as well as his wife's!

I was unaware that Jennifer was seen talking to someone in a white car. That may have come from a friend of Jennifer's who came to the old board. It was from the friend that I learned Jennifer's hands were tied behind her back with her own bra.

Also, I do not know EXACTLY where her body was found, other than in the Friant Kern Canal. When I first started taking notes, back in 1983, I was told, by it could have been heresay, that it was located off Marinette close to Hwy. 198. That would conflict with newspaper that said between Woodlake and Exeter, but how many times have I seen errors in what the newspaper reports.

KMart. Is a couple of miles from the stadium where the game was being played. I am surprised that she was walking to the game from her home...quite a jaunt.

I realize Donna's body was found just east of Spruce, on Marinette, (I have actually been to the exact spot given in the sheriffs' reports), but I remember being told that Jennifer's was also found in the Friant right there where Marinette goes under the road...east of Spruce as well. I remember now who told me. I was on a field trip to cal Poly, sitting next to a chaperone mother who worked at Kaweah delta Hospital with Jennifer's brother. the "bra"information came from a schoolmate of Jennifer who used to post on the old AE board. So here say is exactly that. I wish I knew someone in the sheriff's department who would mind giving out that information.
