Re:  Holy Alamo Christian Church Pamphlet Found In Victim's Car

Does anyone know if this particular pamphlet's contents included attacks on the Catholic church?  Such pamphlets (attacking Catholic church) were distributed throughout Huntington, WV in 1986.

HUNTINGTON -- Tony Alamo, whose Tony Alamo Christian Services compound is embroiled in a child pornography investigation in Arkansas, has ties to the Tri-State.

He was once married to Huntington native Elizabeth Caldwell. They became embroiled in a child custody case in Cabell County in the late 1980s. It involved children from her prior marriage to a local businessman. In 1986, Alamo's followers distributed fliers in the Tri-State that attacked the Catholic church and local leaders.

Alamo is a convicted tax evader who critics describe as a cult leader. He made national headlines over the weekend after more than 100 state and federal agents raided the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries this weekend in Arkansas.

Alamo denies the pornography allegations. Alamo told The Associated Press in an interview Saturday that no child pornography was generated at the ministry but that "consent is puberty" when it comes to sex. Alamo, who said he was in the Los Angeles area, said the government is trying to harass him.

These excerpts place Holy Alamo Christian Church people in Virginia in 1986, 1987, 1989.  Exact months of those years are unknown.  However, since Tony Alamo had reasons to be there during the duration of his marriage to a West Virginian woman, both Tony and church members who worked alongside him, could have been in Virginia at any time between 1986-1989.

Here's time frame of wives after Susan Alamo:

Birgitta Gyllenhammer in June of 1984.

Elizabeth Caldwell-Amrhein end of Dec 1985; she dumped him in January of 1987 by escaping in an airport with the help of her mother and detectives. Tony was shocked.

Diana Williams July 1987 who left him in mid 1989.

Birgitta owned a dress shop on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, CA. Brothers who purchased materials and supplies for the jacket business met her first, shortly after that alamo started hanging around her shop for hours a day.

She maintained her own home in California, and never did actually move into the cult. She did not like to spend any time at the compounds or in his mansion and wanted nothing to do w/ the activity of the cult.

Once, when asked why she would marry a filthy creep like alamo, she replied, "He spent a ton of money on me, anything I wanted. And everything was 5-star; restaurants, hotels, shopping, travel. And he did whatever I told him".

Elizabeth came from a well to do family in West Virginia. Can't remember where she first met him, but the beguiling courtship was similar to Birgitta's in regards to expense and deception.

Elizabeth spent less time living in hotels w/ him, and more time in the compounds. She had a sincere desire to be helpful to the cult members. Elizabeth was w/ him longer, over a year. Finally, the abuse became more physical and dangerous and she made her escape.

Keep scrolling down and read the article at the bottom - the thank you letter from Ida Brubach. Ida Brubach is the mother of Douglas Brubach AKA Douglas Streit.  Ida resided in Chesapeake VA.  At some point, Douglas moved into the Alamo's compound in L.A. and became one of  Tony Alamos right hand men. After the churches downfall in the 1990s Douglas moved to Virginia. Also at some point he changed his name to Douglas Streit.  I haven't found info indicating Douglas  resided in Virginia prior to 1986.

Tony Alamo's troubles began in 1986 when the IRS charged him with tax fraud.  Later that year, the FBI began investigating the church leaders for cult activity, for endangering minors, kidnapping children, and for having sex with minor girls, sometimes transporting the girls to the state of Virginia. 

Douglas Brubach was extremely dependent on  and looked up to Tony Alamo. He stayed a loyal follower even after the churches fall.  1986 was a rough year for the Alamo leaders and staff.  What's odd is that I found Douglas' birthday, which is written down somewhere in my notes.  He uses October 1960 for his birthday, but neither that month or year is his birthday. Unless He Had A Son???

Despite ALL the evidence presented at Tony Alamo's trial, Douglas never believed the Alamos or the church did anything wrong.  He wrote a long letter adressed  to the public defending the church and Tony Alamo.  I'll see if I can relocate the letter and post it here.  If you don't want to wait, I'm sure you can find it online.

I don't mean to be rude or disrespectful to Ms. Brubach, but it's hard to believe that a "happy, healthful, useful adult" found happiness and led a healthful life within a corrupt religious organization whose leader was sexually exploiting minor girls, robbing vulnerable God-seeking people of their hard-earned money, cheating Uncle Sam, stole his dead wife's corpse and kept it in a coffin in his home for several years, and continuously bumped heads with law enforcement.

I find all of the following stuff interesting:

The Court finds that these parents permitted and condoned a practice of the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries known as diesel therapy, where school age teenagers were removed from their residences and required to travel nation wide in the ministries business ventures helping diesel truck drivers load and unload products, without access to schools and schooling.

Nicholas Broderick described witnessing John Kolbeck's savage beating of Spencer Ondrisek, Phillip Avila, and A.O., while the Ondriseks were present and did nothing. He said that Kolbeck once slapped him, but did not beat him, because Nicholas stated that he was going to leave the ministry. He explained that it was normal for boys to drop out of school by the age of seventeen and that there were few boys in school above the tenth grade, after which he dropped out. He said that he was forced to fast a few times and experienced "diesel therapy" (being forced to ride with a driver of a ministry truck). He added that young girls were at risk of becoming child brides; that J.G. married a man in his thirties; and that R.S. married when she was fourteen.

Re:  JOHN ERWIN KOLBECK, Alamo Follower & Worker

This guy is now deceased.  At some points in time he resided in different parts of Virginia - Seaford, Henrico, Virginia Beach and Chesapeake.

I read in one of the Alamo court cases that Tony & Susan Alamo had been known to administer Demerol injections to others, and that Susan Alamo administered it to herself as well.  I don't know if it was given to the children.  I'm trying to relocate the article.

The FBI has a lot of information on this organization.  It investigated the church for a long time.  Maybe the FBI agents who are handling the CPM case can look through the documents collected by the agents who investigated the Alamo church.

Police say teen severely beaten by Tony Alamo follower in Fort Smith

FORT SMITH – Man police say was evangelist Tony Alamo’s disciplinarian is now wanted in Fort Smith for the alleged beating of a church teen. A felony warrant for second degree battery has now been issued for 49-year-old John Erwin Kolbeck. Authorities believe he may now be on the run. Kolbeck has not been seen since the raid on Alamo ministries’ compound in Fouke, Arkansas. He reportedly worked for the ministry.

“The info we developed through the investigation leads us to believe that Kolbeck was a disciplinarian for Tony Alamo. He was closely related [associated] with Tony Alamo and he would receive order from Alamo to carry out,” Sgt. Levi Risley with the Fort Smith Police Department told 5NEWS.

The victim was 17 at the time the alleged assault occurred sometime between January and February of this year at a warehouse in 4th Street owned by the church. Police say the teen was severely beaten; struck by a 2X6 board about 20 times. The teen told an investigating officer that he had lived at the Tony Alamo Foundation in Fouke with his parents until recently.

According to the victim, someone had made a comment that he looked like Harry Potter. He told police that he made a sarcastic remark in return and it was written up and reported to Tony Alamo.

The victim says he was slapped about ten times before being forced to the floor, busting his chin open. The 17-year-old says he was made to stretch out on the floor and the beating began. At one point Kolbeck allegedly had his pants pulled down because he thought they were interfering with the punishment. The teen was reportedly stripped down to his underwear. The beating ended when the board broke.

Police say the beating left him bloodied with deep bruises and lacerations to his buttocks. According to the report, bruising is still visible seven to eight months after the incident. The teen told police that he had been beaten once before in Fouke and that incident was ten times worse. The victim says his father was beaten just the day before, taking the punishment over being excommunicated from the church.

The allegations surfaced as part of an FBI investigation. Agents told Fort Smith Police that the victim was hesitant to speak with them at first, saying that he had been taught that law enforcement was evil and he was afraid that he was in trouble for something.

Meanwhile, the church’s leader, Tony Alamo is in federal custody in Texarkana. He’s faces federal charges for allegedly transporting underage girls across state lines for sex.

The mind control methods these cults used was like from a common textbook they shared despite their dogma varying.

Maybe Daniel offered up the money to the killer as a way save their lives, but this could've been a robbery since it was close to the highway rest area where Transient people hang out looking for any opportunity to improve their situation?

I was just thinking of that Canadian couple who was killed back in 1987, whose killer was recently found through Familia DNA.  He was a truck driver back then. He also moved the victims, left the bodies and their van at different locations, and the van was found by water by a bridge.  His was 24 when he committed the crime.

He was recently tried and convicted of the murders - William Earl Talbott, II.

That's why the pamphlet was left in the car for investigators to find, and the demerol used in Hall/Margaret link to Alamo, and the Alamo Diesel link("Diesel therapy") used 2 years later with Thomas/Dowski. It was another setup campaign by simply dropping a pamphlet and then sprinkling some diesel and drawing attention to it by pretending to ignite it (with an intentionally fake attempt because he knew diesel wouldn't ignite). It was intentionally vague and subtle, and also effective orchestration.

Your theory is plausible.  It was raining, so a fire may have been difficult to start if everything was wet.

By chance, I was listening to Coast to Coast this morning, Saturday June 27 at 5 a.m. eastern, the episode featured Tony Violli. This man claimed that he was falsely persecuted by the Justice Department, in the subprime loan scandal under Eric Holder and said they sent him and others to federal prison(10 years) when Fannie Mae and banks too big to fail practiced the same loan methods and got taxpayer bailouts. He said they shipped him around to different prisons constantly so as to prevent his ability to initiate any type of appeal. He said they called it: Diesel Therapy!

Is CPK alluding to this because he is a Fed? From the D.C. area? Disgruntled ex con? Federal law enforcement most likely.
